Beginners – start diving today
With Vila Ombak Divers, try your first diving experience in Gili Islands.
Children from age 8 to 9 years
Children from age 8 to 9 years old can start their diving with Vila Ombak Divers.
They can try their underwater adventure through bubble makers in the swimming or diving to a maximum depth of 4 meters in the open sea.
The restrictions apply until they reach 10 years old.
To maximize the comfort, we have diving equipments suitable for children including small diving tanks.
Introduction dive, your first dive
Introduction dive – is the best way to discover your first diving experience in the Gilis for beginners.
Under the direct supervision of an instructor, you begin your diving experience in the pool and then join the boat to the dive site for a dive in the sea to discover the beautiful underwater world.
The maximum diving depth is 12m (if you are aged 10 years and above).
Scuba training towards PADI diving certificat
Vila Ombak Divers provide scuba diving training for both beginners and experienced divers. Being a PADI 5 stars dive center, the certification you obtained will be issued from PADI.
What is PADI?
PADI stands for Professional Association of Diving Instructors. It is the largest diver training organization in the world. Therefore, you can be confident that your certification will be recognized everywhere worldwide.

PADI diving courses and duration
Maximum depth 12m.
Maximum depth 18 meters (children 10-11 years 12m).
PADI Adventure Dives
0.5 days per dive adventure,
1.5 days for the Adventure Diver certificate.
Maximum depth 30m (Junior 12-14 years 21m).
PADI Specialty courses or PADI Master Scuba Diver
Age 10, 12 or 15 years depending on the specialty,
PADI Master Scuba Diver – is the highest recreational diver rating in the PADI system, and signifies a diver with superior experience and achievement.
PADI Divemaster is your first step to become a diving professional and to begin your diving career.
Minimum duration of training 10-15 days if you are PADI Rescue Divers with valid EFR training (within 24 months) and logged at least 60 dives (including experience in night diving, deep diving and underwater negation).
